Build a new shop at their Lake Meyer location. Their shop is the oldest county building still in use today (?). They have outgrown their space and are in desperate need of a new shop space and new office space. (They have 5 staff working in a little tiny cabin in the center of the Lake Meyer campground, I encourage readers to go see how efficiently and creatively they have used that tiny little space with recycled desks and furnishings!)
NESTE FARM funds needed to help create a new Visitors Center to Winn County and all recreation to be found here. The private drive into Neste Farm needs to be designated as a new county road for better funding and maintenance.
Walden Pond needs facilities and work. Need $ to do that.
Desperately need: One more staff member, seasonal at least for now, that can also help with educational programs/services. Not just a high school equivalent laborer, but someone who can be part of their education team. All five staff members at Winn County Conservation currently do educational programming and this new staff position would need to be able to do that also.
