As a county supervisor, and as a citizen of Winneshiek County, I will continue to advocate for equity and justice for historically marginalized, disenfranchised, and oppressed peoples in our community. I will support individuals and organizations that help work for the elimination of all forms of systemic inequity and injustice. I think we need to challenge our assumptions and understand those who are different from us, and the key to doing that is active listening and committed conversations. Whether it’s national origin, race, gender, sexual orientation or expression, religion, income, or education levels, I want you to know that I will work for equity, racial justice, and positive change for all of the people of Winneshiek County. I believe we can work together to come together.

Community is ‘common unity’. It is no secret that for my entire personal and professional life I have actively worked for positive social change, and have consistently been an enthusiastic advocate for those who need it most, with the hopes of building a ‘Beloved Community’ in this community we share. You can expect me to continue working for you, and for everyone; equally.
